Virginia is for lovers!

June 27, 2010

Having spent the last few days in Virginia – one camping in Shenandoah National Park and the other in my dorm room at summer camp where I’m teaching creative writing to some (hopefully) eager high school-aged students, it is now apparent that I am about two or three states behind on my blog. Therefore, in lieu of writing a to do list that would eventually become a bookmark, I’ll make my list right here.

Specials this week:

1) Wrap up any final comments about the biscuit festival

2) Chattanooga and the largest open-air market in Tennessee (and the failure that was Atlanta)

3) Blind Lightning sits in with Mississippi Hand Solo, Alabama Crash, and (something) Bear for a rare collaboration.

4) I’m eating my way out of Charleston!

5) Drinking on the Streets of Savannah

6) The Long and Winding Road: USC Farmers’ Market to the Greensboro Curb Market

7) I Just Saw a Bear Grazing

8) To Camp or Not To: Waiting Out the Rain

9) Shenandoah University’s Performing Arts Camp

At some point, I would like to add a few more of the recipes I devised over the summer, but until then, stay hungry because they will taste better if you are in the throws of pangs.

In conclusion of this post, I would like to thank my first and only commenter of the summer – besides the inticing spam posts – Emily: I want to see pictures of your pole people.

I’ll see if I can get my mom to take a picture. Trust me, they are nothing short of fabulous.

Also, I believe it is ‘enticing’.
