National Portrait Gallery & American Art Museum

July 27, 2011

Here are some (more) photos from my visit last summer to the National Portrait Gallery and American Art Museum in Washington D.C. I planned to visit the Natural History Museum after starting here, but I ended up spending a good five hours wandering around this gem, looking and (re)looking, taking pictures of exhibits that were off limits – oops! Such a great place for a literary-pop culture-sports fan. So many great images. So many stories living in the faces. We, as humans, as a citizenry, in the United States, in the 21st century, are lucky to have access to such a great facial history of the U.S.
